The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive doesn't start until May 13th, but local letter carriers say now is a good time to start gathering up your canned goods to make a donation. They are hoping to collect 75,000 pounds of food in one week for the South Plains Food Bank. Drive Coordinator Charles Peterman says, "The food that we collect stays here locally at the South Plains Food Bank and they distribute it into food boxes."
You can leave your donation of non-perishable food items by your mail box during the week of May 13th through the 20th.
