If you've ever watched daytime soaps, you've probably seen a patient in a coma wake up. Now, the Mayo Clinic wants to set the record straight.
After reviewing 30 movies in which a character was in a coma, they say only two showed the condition accurately. The rest, they say, made terrible errors like no feeding tubes, patients remained tanned and muscular and then sometimes years later, they woke up in seconds with no complications. Their concern is that families will base real life decisions on what they see in the movies.
According to the Mayo Clinic, only two movies "Dream Life With Angels" and "Reversal of Fortune" got a passing grade.
