The North Lubbock sky may be filled with smoke on Thursday. It's all part of training. This week and next week, fire fighters will be conducting live fire training exercises at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

You can expect the sky to be filled with black smoke between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
