Saturday is Election Day. It will be your last chance to vote in your city and school board elections. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta bring us last-minute reminders.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Don't forget, you must vote in your precinct for city, school and water district elections. That number is located on the left hand side of your voter registration card. You must have that card or your driver's license in order to vote.
To avoid confusion, find out ahead of time the places where you should vote. For example, if you live in the city of Lubbock you may have to drive a few places. "You could have to travel up to three different locations in order to get your city, school and water district all voted in one day," says Elections Administrator Dorothy Kennedy.
Area towns will also be having city and school elections. Cooper ISD is voting on a $34 million bond issue and trustees. Roosevelt will be voting on a $9 million bond issue and school board. Shallowater and Frenship are two others.
To find out where you should vote, you can call the elections office at 775-1339. After polls close on Saturday, tune in to NewsChannel 11. Karin and Abner will bring you the latest election results throughout the evening.
