Lubbock postal carriers are hoping to find a little extra something by your mail box and that is a bag of canned food.
"The types of food we want are non-perishable items, canned vegetables, canned meats, pastas, beans, cereals, and those sorts of things," Food drive coordinator Charles Peterman, says,
The Stamp Out Hunger food drive helps support the South Plains Food Bank. This year they are hoping to collect 75,000 pounds.
The food drive runs from May 13th through the 20th.
