Detectives with the Levelland Police Department were in Lubbock Tuesday following leads that they hope will help bring them to an arrest in Sunday's shooting.
18-year-old Terry Carter Wright was riding in a car when he was shot six times in the chest and legs. He then jumped out or was pushed out of the moving vehicle onto the Levelland highway. Wright suffered critical, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a Lubbock hospital.
Levelland police are questioning possible suspects in the shooting. They say the incident may have been drug related. They also believe Wright may have known the people that shot him.
Police say they hope to make arrests by the end of this week.
