Byron Martin Students Evacuated as a Precaution - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Precaution and safety led to the evacuation of dozens of Lubbock students on Wednesday afternoon. Officials at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center noticed an odor making its way through the ventilation system.

The Lubbock Fire Department was called to check it out. They found a broken berring inside an air conditioning unit. Soon authorities gave the all-clear and students were free to go back inside about 30 minutes later.
