UBS Issues Call For Blood Donors

A low turnout of blood donors is causing requests from Lubbock hospitals to go unanswered. You can help change that problem by visiting United Blood Services at 48th and University. If you go, you will be rewarded with a free T-shirt and a coupon for $10 worth of gas. That offer lasts only through Saturday.

Les Long says, "This is a very poor time for us to be like this, of course next week we are leading into Memorial Day weekend. Along with any holiday we have increased travel and decreased donations." All blood types are needed, especially O-negative and A-negative.

To set up an appointment call (806) 741-1752.

What is it Like to Donate Blood?
The blood donation process is easy. Most donors find it a painless and heartwarming experience.
