A person of interest in the Levelland shooting is now in custody on unrelated warrants.
The Lubbock County Sheriff's office made the arrest Thursday. The suspect is being questioned in the shooting of Carter Wright. The 18-year-old remains in critical condition after being shot six times on Sunday.
Wright was found lying in the middle of Highway 114 in Levelland. Police say the shooting could have been drug related. Wright apparently gave police the person of interest's name when he was drifting in and out of consciousness the day of the shooting.
A vehicle with bullet holes has also been impounded and is being tested for forensics.
