The Lubbock Medical Examiner has released the final autopsy report on Summer Baldwin. She's the woman whose body was found inside a suitcase at the city landfill, last September. Doctor Sridhar Natarajan ruled the cause of her death was blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. She was pregnant at the time of her death.
Rosendo Rodriguez III remains in the Lubbock County Jail charged with capital murder in this case. Investigators traced debit transactions to a suitcase Rodriguez purchased the night before Baldwin was found. Police then tracked him to San Antonio where he was arrested. Later, evidence led police to the Holiday Inn at 8th and Avenue Q. That's where investigators believe Baldwin was killed and then stuffed into that suitcase.
Rodriguez is also the same man authorities are calling the prime suspect in the disappearance of Joanna Rogers. She vanished during the night more than two years ago.
