Autopsy Released on Baby Born Into a Toilet

The Lubbock Medical Examiner released details the death of a newborn baby. NewsChannel 11 first told you about the death of the baby, in Spur, back in January. We now know how that baby died: peri-pardum trauma. The medical examiner describes that as"traumatic events during birth and asphyxiation".

We learned that the baby boy was born into a toilet on January 20th. He was alive at the time of birth, but it's not known how much time went by before he died. It appears the baby did not have a name as the medical examiner's office refers to him as Baby Boy Lewis.

So far, no arrests have been made. The Floyd County District Attorney's Office is handling the investigation. They will decide how to proceed with the case.
