Two People Sent to the Hospital After Weekend Crash
The first major wreck of this holiday weekend came around 5:30 Saturday evening. Police say a truck was heading south on West Loop 289, and an SUV was heading east on Brownfield Highway when one of the drivers ran the stoplight, causing the cars to collide.
The two people in the SUV were taken to UMC, one with injuries that could be critical, the other with serious injuries.
Investigators are still trying to determine who ran the stoplight.
