Learn Healthy Habits with Fit Kids, Fit Families

Fit Kids Fit Families is a summer camp at Covenant Lifestyle Centre that is not sports specific, designed to teach both child and parent healthy habits to incorporate into a healthy lifestyle.

Participants will learn the basics of cardiovascular fitness and resistance training, while taking part in games, activities and educational classes.

Fit Kids Fit Families is intended to target children and parents who are interested in improving their life through learning fun activities and useful nutritional information to help survive today's fast food world.

"Our goal is for Fit Kids Fit Families is to help fight the epidemic of childhood obesity by educating both parent and child on the basics of fitness and nutrition," Megan Mitchell, fitness specialist for Covenant Health System said. "Through engaging both child and parent, we hope to integrate the entire family into a family health initiative that will affect the entire family's health."

The cost of the camp is $150 per family and the deadline to register is June 2nd.
