A Lubbock student will not make it to the final round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Murfee Elementary student, 10-year-old Richie Zheng was eliminated during the fourth round Thursday when he was asked to spell the word "Monoceros."
Despite his defeat, Richie's parents were in the audience, beaming with pride. The championship continues Thursday. The winner will go home with more than $42,000 in cash and prizes.
