Snyder Woman Buys Nelson's Mountain House

The man who stole $77 millon in an embezzlment scheme is losing everything he once owned right before his eyes. 

Jody Nelson had a house in the mountains of Ruidoso, New Mexico.  A document filed in federal court Friday showed the judge approved the sale for $177,201. The buyer is Carolyn Barbee of Snyder. She bought the house at its appraised value.

Attorneys who are handling Nelson's property tell NewsChannel 11 they plan to hold a real estate auction sometime in August.  In that auction will be a house and land in Snyder, the house on 14th Street in the Rush area in Lubbock, and a house at Lake Travis for sale.
