Governor Appoints Texas Tech Grad To The Bench

He's served Briscoe County for the past ten years as county attorney, now William Smith of Silverton will see things from the other side of the bench.

Monday, Governor Rick Perry appointed Smith judge of the 110th District Court. The court serves Briscoe, Dickens, Floyd and Motley counties. Smith is a Texas Tech law school grad and will serve until the next general election.
