There's no question that sunscreen is our best ammunition against skin cancer. But what about those super sunscreens that boast an SPF of sixty or more?
The American Academy of Dermatology says you can pay a lot for fancy sunscreens that promise more protection. But you don't need to because the budget brands are just as effective.
"If there's a difference as to how it feels for you, some of them are certainly more elegant vehicles and maybe have a nicer smell that's more appealing to you, or maybe a little creamier, or have an little nicer feel when you rub them on. If that's how it takes for you to use it , then spend your money on the more expensive ones," said Dr. Robert Thompson, a Dermatologist.
The key, he says is wearing sunscreen every day.
