Marc McDougal Named Community Champion - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

His most recent title was mayor. Now, Marc McDougal is being called a community champion. 

The North and East Lubbock Development Corporation honored the former mayor at their annual Community Champion Awards banquet Friday. They say he was instrumental in bringing new development to the area.

Marc McDougal says, "It's a part of Lubbock that for years has been overlooked and recently we've brought recognition that part of the city."

McDougal hopes the development will continue in the future.
