The same lake where an 18-year-old lost his leg is now hosting a benefit concert to help raise money for his medical expenses.

Recent Monterey graduate Mark Stargel remains in critical condition. Stargel was riding his jet ski at Buffalo Springs Lake Sunday when 56-year-old James Greg Renegar lost control of his boat during a race. The boat hit Stargel and another boat. Renegar was also injured but has since been released from the hospital.

The Shane Rogers band will play a benefit concert at the lake Saturday, June 23rd from 8 p.m. until midnight. Donations will be taken to benefit both the Stargel and Renegar families.
