Vigilant neighbors are being credited with helping police arrest a man in Central Lubbock. Police tell us they tried to pull Zhonn Barela over for speeding just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night. That led to a chase, where Barela allegedly dumped his car and started running. Neighbors found him hiding in a backyard and flagged down police.
Officers tased Barela and arrested him in the 2100 block of 55th street. The 30-year-old apparently has a DWI warrant.
