Lubbock police are trying to figure out if two stabbing's are related. Officers responded to the first call at 66th and Avenue Q around 2:30 a.m. Friday. There, they found a man with a stab wound to his chest and cuts to his pelvis. EMS took the man to UMC for treatment.
Thirty minutes later, officers were called out to another stabbing. This one was just two blocks away at 66th and Avenue S. There, a stabbing victim knocked on the door of an apartment and asked the person inside to call EMS. He was also taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
