Do your veins roll, or just hide when a lab technician needs to draw blood? That may not be a problem anymore thanks to new technology.
It's called the Vein-Viewier, made by Luminetx. It uses infrared technology to light up veins just below the surface of the skin. Not only does it make it easier to find the vein for an IV or a blood test, but researchers believe it may also have a future as a bio-identification tool
Luminetx has just received a patent to provide this technology for the purpose of identification. That's because the vein network is unique to each person, making a vein ID system a more secure way to someday document people.
