Fun in the Sun on the 4th of July

This 4th of July holiday inspired some to enjoy the beautiful weather.

NewsChannel 11 video journalist John Berry caught up with a hot air balloon in Lorenzo, just as it was coming in for a landing. The balloon called "Magic Toy" was piloted by Maryann Slagle-Poteet of Wolfforth. She and her crew were there to take part in Lorenzo's Fourth of July parade. 

And back here in Lubbock, children enjoyed a giant slip and slide at The Falls subdivision. The neighborhood association hosted a day full of games and activities, including a cannonball contest, and alligator races for parents and their children.
