A member of the Aryan Brotherhood faces up to 25 years in prison now that a Lubbock Jury found him guilty of weapons charges Thursday.

Matthew Courtney was arrested along with Cory Daniel and Aaron Thompson back in March at the Econo-Lodge Motel. Police were investigating reports of a stolen SUV, and a possible kidnapping when they found 26 stolen firearms inside their motel room. Daniel and Thompson, who also claim to be members of the Aryan Brotherhood, both pleaded guilty to three counts of weapons charges. So, Courtney was the only one who went to trial.

He was found guilty on Thursday of the same three counts: conspiracy to posses and dispose of stolen firearms, a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen firearms. A sentencing date has not been set.
