Daycare Site Clear Following Fire Nearly 2 Months Ago

It's been nearly two months since a Central Lubbock preschool burned to the ground. And, the Lubbock Fire Marshall's Office says the case is still an open investigation.

If you look at the site today, there is little evidence that Southwest Private School ever existed. All that is left now is a vacant lot and part of a concrete slab.

The building caught fire May 15th, during the early morning hours. Fortunately, no one was injured. The students and employees have since moved on.

Meanwhile, the owner, Celia Pruitt, did not return our calls Thursday. However, she told us days after the fire, that she had no plans to rebuild.
