Pet Detective Called To Find Missing Lubbock Dog

A much-loved dog is still missing... and now her owner is stepping up the search.

You may recall, Remie moved to Lubbock with her owner a few months ago. But, within days, she turned up missing. Her owner, Shannyn De Arman, hired an Oklahoma pet detective to help find Remie. So far, They have isolated her whereabouts to a neighborhood near 78th and Avenue P.

Friday, they set up a food station to encourage Remie to stay put until they can catch her. Shannyn says that this lengthy quest to find her dog, has actually changed her life.

"Through the process, amazingly, I've found 6 dogs that aren't Remie, unfortunately. But, people have called and said 'I think I have your dog here' or 'I saw a dog here' and I'll pick him up and keep him at my house until I can find the owner," Shannyn said.

In fact, Shannyn is now planning a career change. She intends to travel to Oklahoma to become trained as a pet detective herself. But, in the meantime, she is offering a $500 reward for Remie's safe return. You'll know her - by her distinctive blue eyes. However she is quite skiddish, so Shannyn says do not approach her. Instead, keep her in your sights, and call (806) 778-0218.
