Smoking Teens On the Rise

The number of teens who are lighting up is on the rise.

A report by the CDC finds that after a steady decline in the number of high school students who smoked from 1997 to 2003. Since then, we've seen the reverse with a steady climb of teen smokers. The CDC suggests one reason may be an increase of smoking in the movies.

This reminder, smoking is the number one cause of preventable death in this country. 80% of smokers take their first puff before the age of 18.
