Man Behind Bars After Police Chase

An overnight domestic dispute ended in a police chase, and finally the arrest of 19-year-old Zachariah Castro.

Police say a woman reported that Castro allegedly stole her car. When the car was spotted, the chase began. Castro wrecked at 33rd and University and then fled on foot.

Police caught him about a block away near 33rd and Akron.

Castro has been charged robbery, resisting arrest, evading arrest, evading arrest with a vehicle and criminal mischief.

He is being held at the Lubbock County Jail. His bond has not yet been set.
