Council to Vote on Water Conservation Plan - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The council is expected to approve a new water conservation plan.

The plan calls for mandatory rather than voluntary participation.

The first stage of the proposed plan calls for watering only twice a week. Depending on the level of our water sources - that could decrease to no watering at all.

This is a first for Lubbock, but a step city leaders believe is necessary to deal with a dwindling water supply.

Council members tells us a decision to enforce the plan will be made within the next month.
