DPS Releases 4th Of July Traffic Report

Numbers show that drivers were a little safer this 4th of July.

DPS reported no fatal collisions this past holiday in Lubbock County. That's compared to eight fatalities last 4th of July. There were four alcohol related crashes this year and 16 in 2005.

This year, DPS arrested 18 people for driving under the influence compared to 23 last year.
