Firefighters Battle Southeast Lubbock Pallet Fire

NewsChannel 11's tower cam captured plumes of smoke coming from Southeast Lubbock around 7:30 Wednesday evening. The smoke was coming from a pallet fire at Continental Pallet Company, and could be sen from miles away.

NewsChannel 11 was first at the scene and watched as firefighters from Lubbock and Buffalo Springs Lake worked to extinguish the blaze.  It is not known what caused piles of pallets to catch fire behind the building at 7801 Southeast Drive.

Firefighters will remain at the scene to monitor hot spots.
