Federal aviation investigators are in Floydada. They're trying to figure out why a plane crashed about two-miles South of Floydada.
The pilot told authorities he was having fuel problems and tried to make an emergency landing at the Floydada Airport. He ended up crashing near a cotton field. The pilot and his son were headed to Colorado.
Everyone is okay, and their names have not been released. But, we do know the plane is registered to Alan Rossi of Thornton, Colorado.
