Authorities were called to five fires overnight, involving five burning vehicles.
The first one sparked around 10pm last night, at the South Loop and I-27, followed by another at 50th and Quaker, and then just a few blocks away at 49th and Knoxville.
Just before 2 a.m., police were called to a fourth fire at 46th and Peoria. There, officers arrested a juvenile who reportedly admitted that fire was arson. And then, just after 5:30 Friday morning, a fifth car was found burning near 19th and Upland.
Right now, the fire marshal's office is investigating each case. But, they believe at least two of the fires were accidental and not related.
