He confessed to his involvement with a series of Lubbock bank robberies. Now, David Aaron Johnson will spend the next 27 years in prison for aggravated credit union robbery and various firearms charges.
Johnson admitted to six Lubbock bank robberies including a January robbery at the Plains Bells Credit Union at 2545 74th street. Johnson is one of the robbers captured in surveillance video. The other robber, Erica Edwards is serving eight years for her role.
Three of Johnson's other partners are still awaiting sentencing.
