Lubbock Gas Prices Higher Than State Average

The average price for unleaded gasoline in Lubbock is now above the state average.

NewsChannel 11 surveyed gas prices around town Friday. We found the average to be $2.94. That's still higher than the state average of $2.89. We found a number of stations selling unleaded gas for $2.99.

Don't expect the prices to go down anytime soon. Analysts are already predicting crude oil prices to remain above $70 per barrel for some time.
