Wednesday our NewsChannel 11 Live Community Coverage Tour rolls South to Snyder. It's our third stop on the tour, NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta shows us what we can look forward to.
Snyder is about 87 miles Southeast of Lubbock. It's one of the larger towns we're visiting on the tour, with a population of more than 10,000 people. And in just a few hours our crews will be coming into town to set up for our third stop on our Community Coverage Tour in Snyder. Before we show you what we're planning to bring you, here's a glimpse of last night's event in Crosbyton. It was our second stop on the tour. Karin, Abner, John, Pete and the rest of the NewsChannel 11 team had a meet and greet with residents after the show. There was even food and entertainment.
You can expect more of the same Wednesday night at the Scurry County Courthouse. Wednesday, you'll learn how Snyder is digging up history--literally. And, we'll tell you how Snyder is revitalizing its downtown area right on the square. Plus, we'll show you the last white buffalo.
After the six o'clock news, there will be a street dance on the square. That's Wednesday night at 6 & 10 as we continue our 2006 Community Coverage Tour, live in Snyder.
