Pit Bull Put Down Following Attack - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock Animal Services euthanized the pit bull that was involved in an attack in South Lubbock last week.

Witnesses say a 10-year old boy was trying to pet the dog when it attacked. It happened Sunday, July 16th, near the Lakeridge Country Club Golf Course. NewsChannel 11 has since learned that the dog's owner surrendered the animal to the city, and the dog was later destroyed.

The child has since been treated and released from a Lubbock hospital.
