Style Tronics Inc. is recalling its Monica and Turbo 1200 hand-held hair dryers. The dryers are not equipped with a plug to prevent electrocution if the dryer falls into water. The Monica model has the number SW-117 written on the handle. It's made of black plastic with chrome. The Turbo 1200 model is green and white or green with number DS-507. The next recalled product that was sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. The Mainstays Associate Office Chair is being recalled because the chair can break and tip over easily. The UPC Code #9501401610 is printed under the seat. The model is #VCR1022. Wal-Mart sold the chairs from April 2003 through April 2006 for about $36. Return the chair to Wal-Mart for a refund. Hunter Fan Company is recalling its two gallon Warm Mist Care Free Humidifier. Water can leak into the unit's electrical component and spark a fire. The recalled humidifiers are white or black plastic with blue or green tinted water tanks. The words "Hunter" and "Niteglo" are printed on the humidifiers. The following model numbers are recalled: 35201, 35202, 35203, 35207, and 35253.
Discount stores, hardware stores, catalogs and web sites sold the humidifiers from September 2005 through February 2006 for between $50 and $65. Home Fragrance Holdings is recalling certain cylinder shape candles with a sand layer base. The candles can flare unexpectedly. Recalled models include the Cement Aspen Flower, Cement Downpour, Cement Biscotti and Citrus Cilantro. The candles were sold at Pier 1 Imports from February 2006 through May 2006 for between $10 and $20. You can return the candles to Pier 1 for a refund. Emess Design Group is recalling its fire truck and bulldozer accent lamps with night lights. The glass window on the night lights can become dislodged, fall and shatter, posing a laceration hazard. Home Depot stores sold the lamps exclusively from January through June of this year for about $40. The lamps have a red toy fire truck or yellow toy bulldozer base. SKU No. 167-367 is printed on the bottom of the base of the fire truck lamp and SKU No. 167-939 is printed on the bottom of the bulldozer lamp.
