Patriotism Overwhelms Protest At Velez Memorial Service

Outside the memorial service for Andrew Velez, hundreds of American flags were waving and motorcycles revving in an effort to protect the Velez family from members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas.  

The group showed up to protest the memorial service.  However, the massive show of patriotism overwhelmed the tiny protest. A motorcycle group called the Patriot Guard organized the event.  They were joined by a number of local motorcyclists and other patriotic supporters.
