Texas Country Reporter to Feature Movieland - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Texas Country Reporter will feature a South Plains movie theater this weekend. 

Bob Phillips and his crew will highlight Lamesa's last indoor movie theater.  In 2001, Don Stribling met with a Girl Scout troop and launched a community wide effort to renovate and reopen the old Noret Theater as a non-profit movie theater. Today, Movieland is run by 100 volunteers. 

Texas Country Reporter airs right here on NewsChannel 11. You can catch it at 6 a.m. on Saturdays and again at 8 a.m. on Sundays.
