Police say they can rule out alcohol and drugs as factors in Friday afternoon's fatal wreck on I-27.

Although it is still unclear what caused the 62-year-old to run head on into a pillar. Witnesses say the driver was headed North on the interstate around 4pm, when he veered off the road and then crashed. The victim's name has not been released.
