Possible E-Coli Contamination Prompts Beef Recall

Possible E-coli contamination is prompting a Lubbock meat packer to voluntarily recall more than 13,000 of ground beef.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture discovered the potential bacteria through routine testing at Plains Meat Company in Lubbock.  NewsChannel 11 spoke with the company Monday. They told us the beef was sent to restaurants and distributors in Amarillo and Lubbock. They say it has all been accounted for. They say there is no reason for you to be concerned because they caught the problem before any of that meat was given to the public.
