El Paso is getting some relief from Lubbock TX-DOT.
TX-DOT sent thirty workers and equipment to El Paso to help with flood clean-up. Crews are helping pump water out of streets and they're removing mud and debris. More than 15 inches of rain has fallen in El Paso since July 27th. So far, more than 300 homes have been damaged. State officials are asking President George Bush to declare El Paso a disaster area.
