LISD Considers Nine Cent Tax Decrease

Lubbock ISD wants to lower its tax rate.  The current lisd tax rate is $1.65.  

Thursday, board members recommended lowering the rate to $1.56.  That's a nine cent decrease.  It's not final yet.  Before a vote can be made, there must be a public hearing.  The hearing is scheduled for August 24th at 7:00 a.m. at the LISD Administration building, 1628 19th Street.
