North and East Lubbock CDC Director Resigns

Two weeks before the North and East Lubbock Community Development Corporation was set to break ground on its biggest project, its director announced his resignation.

John Hall explains why. Hall says, "A very exciting and unique opportunity came for me to join the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington D.C. I will still work with affordable housing but at the policy level instead of the grass roots level."

Hall says the corporation will release a succession plan and new director August 29th. Meanwhile, he says he's excited about the upcoming groundbreaking at Kings Dominion.

Since, it's creation in 2004, the NELCDC has assisted with $1.3 million in new mortgages for north and east Lubbock.
