Test Confirms Year's First Case of West Nile in Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Tests confirm the city's first case of West Nile for this year.

The health department tells us the adult has recovered since being infected.  West Nile is a disease carried by mosquitos. In 2003, there were 49 human cases of West Nile in Lubbock.  Last year, eleven people in Texas died from the disease.
