City to Remove Some Downtown Traffic Signals

Five downtown stop lights will be removed.

On Tuesday, the Citizens Traffic Commission gave the green light to remove three stop lights along Main street at Avenue K, Avenue L and Avenue M.

However, following citizen comments the commission voted to keep the signals at Main and Buddy Holly and at Main and Texas.

The changes must still be approved by the Lubbock City Council.
