Remains Do Not Belong to Missing Amarillo Boy

DNA now confirms remains found in Yellow House Canyon do not match an Amarillo boy who went missing in 1998.

The family of Dorion Deon Thomas saw a sketch created from the remains and thought it could be him.  The DNA will be entered in a national search database for further comparison.  For now, the sketch is all investigators have to go on.

The remains were found last December.  Evidence shows they belong to a young man between the ages of twelve and nineteen. He's believed to be either Hispanic or African American descent. If you have any information in this case, you're urged to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
