DWI Rollover Near Shallowater - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A man is charged with driving while intoxicated after DPS troopers found his car miles west of Shallowater on US-84 early Sunday morning.

DPS says 27-year-old Lionel Villa Franco ran off the roadway, started to side-skid and then rolled the Saturn on its side.

He and his 27-year-old passenger, Sanjuana Rodgers, were taken to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.

As of last report, Rodgers remained in the hospital in good condition.

Villa Franco was charged with driving while intoxicated.
