Merimon Family Asks Property Owners to Search Land

The Merimon family is asking property owners to search their own land for any clues that might lead them to Peggy Merimon.

The 61-year-old has been missing since August 9th.  Merimon was last seen leaving the Lubbock State School with Kay Harrelson.  Harrelson's body was found in a ditch near Shallowater Sunday.  Merimon's son Vaughn Appleton says, "Everybody in Lubbock County, surrounding counties as well, and friends have been actively searching their own neighborhoods or areas with personal equipment."  Now, they're asking property owners to search their land for any evidence or signs of Merimon.
